Charlies Grenache 2021 – 95 points – 5 stars
Impressively rich and enticing, the bouquet shows dark and purple fruit intensity, smoked game, warm spice and cedary oak characters. It’s equally satisfying in the mouth, offering terrific weight and plush texture, finishing wonderfully long and flavoursome. Delectably expressed with layers of complex flavours, making it hugely appealing. At its best: now to 2035. $35.00.
Uncle Tony’s Mataro 2021 – 94 points – 5 stars
Gorgeously ripe and enticing, the wine shows blackcurrant, bouquet garni, cured meat and roasted nut aromas, followed by a concentrated palate delivering excellent density and silky mouthfeel. Wonderfully rich and flavoursome, backed by grainy tannins,, finishing splendidly long and robust. At its best: now to 2035. $35.00.

Charming and elegantly fragrant, the bouquet shows red berry, subtle spice, olive and floral aromas, followed by a silky-smooth palate offering rounded mouthfeel and polished tannins, finishing long and supple. At its best: now to 2027. $25.00.
